It’s Monday again! The weather was gorgeous this weekend with temperatures in the 50s and 60s. We hiked, grilled, drank a couple of beers, and took full advantage of the spring-like temps. There’s more snow in the forecast for us later this week, but I know spring is just around the corner!
Because we didn’t have plans this weekend, I also took the opportunity to treat myself to a spring mani/pedi. I think salon manicures and pedicures are great, but I prefer to do it myself- it’s much cheaper and less time consuming. I am not daring with my nail color choices and primarily stick with reds and pinks. Over the weekend I opted for something a little brighter than my traditional wintery red: Sally Hansen’s Red Snapper (orangey-red).
It’s not quite time for super bright nails but Red Snapper is a great seasonal alternative. Though I’ve used Sally Hansen products, I had never tried this particular polish. The color and price ($3.99!) caught my eye! I was satisfied with the finish but applied OPI Top Coat once it dried. I bite my nails and work on a computer all day- a good top coat is a must for me.
I like to keep my nails short and even. Obviously it’s not a professional job! Whoa, sausages… the iPhone camera always adds ten pounds, right?
What nail colors or trends are you excited to try this spring?
