I’ve had a few readers tell me lately that they don’t care for makeup. Fair enough. Obviously that’s my primary focus, but I understand that not everyone loves makeup as much as I do! However, even if makeup isn’t your thing, I imagine you do care about taking care of your skin.
I follow a strict skincare regimen and wash and moisturize my face every night. I remove my eye makeup with a baby oil-soaked cotton ball, cleanse my face, then apply three different products. I exfoliate a couple of times a week, but use a gentler cleanser most nights.
My favorite nighttime products:
Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector: I received this product for free from Influenster. I’ve used it for a few weeks on a dark spot on my forehead and can already tell a slight difference. I’m a bad blogger and neglected to take a before photo- but I promise it works!
Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing and Brightening Cream: This cream seems heavy but goes on light and dries quickly. It’s rich and luxurious. If you’re looking for a higher-end cream, I suggest looking into this one!
First Aid Beauty 5 in 1 Eye Cream: I use this currently, and while it leaves the skin around my eyes super soft, I can’t get past the smell. It smells like sour milk. I’m nearly done with the bottle and plan to swap it out for Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream. Maybe it’s just my bottle? Why does it stink?!
Yes to Carrots Daily Cream Facial Cleanser: A hydrating, fragrance-free cleanser. Perfect for sensitive skin.
St. Ives Even & Bright Scrub, Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange: go here for my review.
St. Ives Timeless Skin Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer: Jason and I both love this lotion. It’s great for dry, sensitive skin. It’s also extremely CHEAP… a bottle of this lasts us at least six months. If you don’t want to commit to an expensive moisturizer, this is the way to go.
