I’m honored that Tia from Hands On, Pants Off asked me to participate in the Track the Tank giveaway. You can read more about it here, but, in a nutshell, we’re giving away a tank top signed by 23 of my favorite bloggers and all writing a post about what motivates us. The tank is making its way across the US and landed in Kentucky over the weekend.
I love and am motivated by weight loss bloggers, but you will never see before and after pictures on my page. I found a few of these women on Pinterest and, through them, found the motivation to begin a journey of my own. I admire them for their vulnerability because they face bullying and scrutiny, yet continue to share their struggles and triumphs.
I felt inspired and decided to focus on fitness this year. I didn’t set a goal- I simply wanted to work on ME. I do circuit training at least once a week, generally walk a couple of miles a day, and supplement with workout videos. I am in better shape now than I’ve ever been in my life. I feel better, sleep better, and have more confidence. They weren’t lying!
I am my biggest motivator. It’s ME telling ME to get off the couch and not go to McDonalds for lunch. Because of that, I am stronger and am eating mostly clean. I’m NOT perfect: I’m usually somewhere between a brownie and a fast. I love pizza, sweets, and booze. But I know I feel energized when I’m not consistently making pizza, sweets, and booze part of my diet. I wish I could WRITE that feeling, but it’s something you have to experience yourself.
For workout tips, recipes, and motivation, check out the ladies below. They’re an awesome group of women and I don’t feel worthy to participate in this giveaway with them. If you’re looking for a makeup hoarding, bourbon drinking lady, I’m your gal.
What motivates you?
The tank needed a little Kentucky flair:
