I’m all about easy projects and saving money. With all the gifts, dinners, and bills during the Christmas season, there isn’t a lot left over for decor. I wanted a Christmas tassel garland for our bar but didn’t want to spend $30 on it; instead, I spent $5.
Tissue paper of your choice. I used red, green, white, silver, and gold. (I’d buy two packages- I used 5 colors, one of which I had from a previous garland. I used an entire package but had backup for mistakes. Glad I did).
String, ribbon, or baker’s twine to hang banner
Patience and alcohol
1. Fold tissue paper lengthwise.
2. Fold width-wise.
3. Fold lengthwise again.
4. Begin cutting paper on non-folded side. Cut 3/4 the way up.
5. Unfold paper.
6. Cut in half.
7. Open paper.
8. Roll the paper, then twist.
9. Twist paper into loop and glue together.
And the finished product! It makes a great addition to our bar.
