Tis the season for parties! I don’t like to show up to a shindig empty-handed; is that a southern thing? A lady thing? A human thing?
You’re likely attending at least one event this Christmas season- think of all the effort and money the hostess puts into a nice evening for your family and friends. As much as I love throwing parties, it’s not easy.
On that note, here are some ideas for fun gifts for the party people in your life:
Santa Stopper: Bring this with a bottle of wine and you’re good to go!
Oh Joy! Striped Stoneware Pitcher: A gorgeous piece that can be enjoyed during the holidays and beyond.
Monogram Mug: For the coffee (or hot toddy) drinker in your life.
Serving Utensils: Functional, and would add a little color to a utensil caddy.
Christmas towels: One can never have enough dishtowels.
Platter: Add some homemade cookies or candy to make it extra special.
Mrs. Meyers Cranberry Holiday Gift Set: This might seem like a silly gift, but I love Mrs. Meyer’s products- your host is going to have clean up, right? Make it a festive chore.
Candle: We bought this a few weeks ago for our home, and I love the spicy smell. It reminds me of the holidays!
We attended an anniversary party over the summer and I didn’t know the couple well. I still wanted to take something, so we chose a six-pack of beer for the husband, and a bouquet of flowers white tulips for the wife. I wrapped them similar to the ones below. Luckily, we chose perfectly: white tulips were her favorite.
I took a towel-wrapped wine bottle to a Christmas party a couple years ago. It was a big hit with the host.
There you have it. You can buy a nice gift for your sweet hostess without breaking the bank.
