Hope you all had a great New Year! We spent a relaxing evening playing Cards Against Humanity with my family. Wow. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life!
A new year brings a new start, and if you feel like learning or improving things, I have five iPhone apps to help navigate your resolutions.
I’ve had an iPhone since the first iteration, so, that’s all I know. I’m sure these (or at least a comparable edition) are available for Android.
Map My Walk: If you’re interested in workin’ on your fitness in 2015, try Map my Walk. It calculates distance, speed, and calories burned. This app helped tremendously during my Pile on the Miles challenge in November. Especially helpful if you want to start out slow and work your way up to running.
Johnson and Johnson Official 7 Minute Workout App: It’s better to work out more than 7 minutes a day, but it’s a great start. You can customize fitness level and workouts. Though the name insinuates it only offers 7 minute workouts, it does include a 21 minute cardio blast and you can customize to fit your needs.
MyPlate: Unfortunately (for me anyway), you can’t just exercise your way to good health- you need to watch what you eat, too. Enter your height, weight, activity level and weight loss goals to begin. MyPlate calculates your calorie and water intake and exercise.
Mint: If you want to get your finances on track in 2015, start here. Mint will help you maintain a budget, receive bill reminders, monitor your credit score, and learn saving tips.
Hello Vino: Want to learn something new? I’ve discussed it a few times but, if you love wine, this is the perfect app. You can find pairings and brands and even learn how to pronounce the varieties. Impress your friends!
