Time for Beauty A-Z! Today I’m discussing my favorite moisturizer, by Korres, and thought I’d delve into my current skincare routine as well.
I’ve switched things up lately and am happy with my results. I’m still breaking out on my chin and around my mouth, and I’ve read several other women my age are having the same issue. I’m assuming it’s some late twenties/early thirties hormonal change? Super excited. I’ve always had relatively clear skin (aside from the occasional forehead breakout), but this is all new. And bonus- the cold air dried out my face.
I want to treat myself to a skincare system for my 30th birthday, but for now, here are my staples:
Yes to Grapefruit Brightening Facial Wipes: Discussed in my monthly favorites post. You need to wash your face every night, and these are great for those evenings you’re too exhausted for a full-fledged cleanse.
Dickinson’s Witch Hazel Toner: A lot of toners are drying, but this cleanses and moisturizes. It’s inexpensive and lasts forever.
Biore Deep Pore Charcoal Cleanser: Charcoal is the new hot thing in skincare. I’ve read a bit about it but honestly this was an Ulta impulse buy. Charcoal gently removes impurities and toxins… something I need. I’m debating buying a charcoal facial sponge but I’m intimidated; have you tried it?
Korres Wild Rose 24-Hour Moisturizing & Brightening Cream: Thick but not greasy. The rose oil and vitamin C have helped brighten my dull, winter skin. I slather it on every night (after I apply my serum) and wake up with a refreshed complexion.
Boots No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Serum: I don’t know why I didn’t pick it up sooner. This serum is light, fast-absorbing, and smooths my skin. I use it in addition to my moisturizer because I needed a little extra boost, but it’s not necessary. I look 20 again. 🙂 I feel radiant.
Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Eye Cream: Highly recommended and reviewed. It’s inexpensive, contains the bomb anti-wrinkle product Retinol, and it works. I read that you should buy drugstore anti-aging products instead of high-end products because the broader audience means better research. This is a good place to start.
What does your skincare routine include? Have you tried any of the above products?
