Happy Friday! I’m off today which makes it the greatest day of my life. We’re spending the weekend with family, watching basketball, and I’m finally getting my hair done… exciting things ahead!
It’s the beginning of a new month, and with that comes great things:
Easter: Such an amazing reason to celebrate! Easter Sunday is one of my favorite days of the year. I love going to church with my family and know my niece is going to be a huge fan of dyeing and hunting Easter eggs!
The Final Four: Yes, I’ve talked basketball to death. But this die-hard UK fan can’t get over the fact that we’re 38-0. It’s been such a fantastic season and I’m not ready to see it end. Send us some good vibes; Wisconsin is a hell of a team!

Mad Men: I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the last seven episodes of Mad Men begin Sunday. I’m happy for new episodes but am not excited to see it go. What will I do? I’m too emotionally attached at this point. I also think I’ll throw a “Goodbye, Mad Men” party… which will probably consist of me watching the last episode and crying into my bourbon.
Spending Freeze: Ugh. I am happy to have an accountability partner in Meagan, and heard Kerri and Nina are joining in as well. I didn’t realize how much I bought last month until J asked me if we’d won the lottery… At least I’m keeping UPS and the post office in business, right? I wasn’t as proactive as Meagan and didn’t think to cancel my monthly subscriptions, including my first StitchFix. She’s going cold turkey while I’ll still have a few treats. However, I’m not allowed to buy anything for the house or myself for the entire month. Luckily my birthday is May 2 so I’ll have a wish list a mile long. No need to worry about what to get me for my birthday; I’ll give you plenty of options! J
Sponsors: In case you missed it, I am now offering sponsorships! You can still get 25% off all ad spots with promo code “BOURBON” (of course). It’s still new to me, but today I’m introducing the first five brave and amazing ladies who signed up. You’ll see more from them throughout the month, but since Friday is all about Blogger Love, thought I’d give them a shout out:
