It’s a fun Friday around here. Or as Kerri says, it’s Fri-YAY! First, I want to remind all of you that it’s my 30th birthday May 2nd. I haven’t asked for gifts because we’re taking a trip to Asheville/Highlands during my birthday weekend. Experiences are worth more than things, right? But if you feel like buying me something, I’m not here to stop you.
Things I want to buy myself for Dirty Thirty:
Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation: I want to treat myself to a quality foundation, but, am always scared to bite the bullet. Have you tried it? What are your thoughts? I NEED TO KNOW.
Glamglow Supercleanse Daily Clearing Cleanser: Since I’m entering a new decade, I think it’s time to begin a new skincare ritual. My face still breaks out from time to time- why does this happen? Shouldn’t that go away in your teens/early twenties? What did I ever do to anyone? I love Glamglow products.
Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil: Expensive, yes. But it’s time to pamper my skin. I’d be lying if I said the bottle wasn’t the only reason I wanted to purchase this product.
Headboard: I have asked for a headboard for every holiday for a year… but we’ve yet to agree on one that wasn’t a million dollars. We splurged on a bed and now I need a headboard so I can comfortably watch Netflix.
Today I’m also introducing you to one of my favorite bloggers, Cassie from Sage! Cassie is the blogger I needed in my life: she is such a bright, encouraging writer with an amazing talent for building community (here and here). I love how she’s not afraid to share what’s in her heart, and she’s my go-to for blogging tips. She’s currently co-hosting a wonderful project called #morethanaframe, which she discusses in more detail below- it begins Monday!
Take it away, Cassie!
What makes your blog unique?
I’m big on authenticity. I want to tackle the taboo topics that many other bloggers tend to avoid and have healthy dialogues surrounding them. As Lindsay recently said, I’m not afraid to make waves. Whether it’s documenting my thoughts about sharing pregnancy on the internet or the deal with Passionfruit.
I have recently started a collaboration with Amber from Mr. Thomas and Me. The name of our project is #morethanaframe. It is a new Instagram hashtag that we hope to see become a community. Each Sunday we will post the prompt for the week. It’ll be a single word
or short phrase to help center your thoughts. On Mondays, we will use
the #morethanaframe hashtag while sharing our frames and the hearts
outside of that square space.
week we’ll feature our favorite shots and frames on our blogs. Of
course, you’re allowed to participate in whatever capacity you desire.
This means, you don’t have a blog and you don’t have to worry because
this is about community. We hope that you will join us!
Isn’t she the greatest? Make sure you say hello!
Do you have a birthday wishlist?
