How was your weekend? We had a lot of fun: date night Friday, spent Saturday in the pool with my family, and worked outside Sunday. I’m terrible at remembering to take pictures. I ate a ridiculous amount of cake and I doubt you want to see pictures of that display.
I have never written a “currently” post (have I?) but always enjoy reading them.
Feeling: excited that I don’t have to work today. Who doesn’t love a day off? Hoping to tackle some yard work and indoor projects!
Watching: This is where I Leave You. Have you seen it? Tina Fey is adorable and wonderful, per usual. I only wanted to watch because of Adam Driver… and I’m trying to fill my Jon Hamm void (YOU WILL NEVER BE REPLACED).
Thinking: I bought the Beachwaver S1 but still don’t have Connie Britton’s hair… why? Am I not using it right? And why are duvet covers so complicated? It took me 15 minutes to put a new one on the bed today. Doesn’t that seem unreasonable? You have to dry clean comforters but duvets should be simple. They are not.
Listening: I caught a few awesome podcasts last week, mainly Criminal. I am terrified of crime stories but am also a glutton for punishment.
Writing: A resume’. Always working on my resume’. The most daunting, infuriating task of all time.
Needing: motivation. Or more hours. Our house is a wreck to the point I don’t know where to start. I need someone to come in and tell me how to organize. And how to live as an adult.
Excited: that I can watch Friends tonight since I don’t have to get up at 5:00. I know it’s on Netflix but there’s something special about catching it on Nick at Nite. I love a lot of current shows but don’t think I’ll ever love anything as much as Friends.
Hoping: for a good work week. My project is almost done and I have a ton of upcoming meetings. I want everyone to love it as much as I do! Two years of blood, sweat, tears, and carpal tunnel have come down to this…
Worrying: about the kids in the neighborhood. It’s 11:45 and they’re running amok outside. I think they’re staging a coup.
Drinking: two margaritas tonight. Oops.
Feeling: grateful. Thankful for all the deep belly laughing from the weekend. Thankful for time spent with family and friends. Thankful for good food and swimming pools and clean sheets. Thankful for those who serve and their family members who sacrifice at home. You keep us all safe and enable our ability to keep silly hobbies, like this blog. I know there’s no way we can repay you but pray we’re working towards giving you the respect and life you deserve.
And, since it’s Monday and a holiday, let’s start the week with a giveaway, shall we?
