Today I’m joining the lovely Anne from Love the Here and Now for The Awesome Linkup! I can’t think of a better way to make yourself feel better about life than to write about the things you love.
Experiencing “firsts” through my niece’s eyes
This was my niece’s third July 4th but the first time she was able to really experience the festivities. Seeing her enjoy the fireworks makes my heart happy. Nothing makes you stop and appreciate the beauty around you like a child!
|I promise I do not have yellow teeth.|
I keep them in the living room, kitchen, and bedroom thanks to the Manager’s Special section at Kroger. Everything in our house is gray and white so we’re both grateful for the pop of color!
Does this need an explanation? I am typically a red wine gal, but I’m loving chilled riesling and rose’ this summer.
I’m anxiously awaiting new foundation and liquid eyeliner along with July’s Birchbox and Ipsy! I love getting my hands on new products and can’t wait to showcase them here!
Clean makeup brushes
This neat freak gets overly excited when it’s time to clean brushes and sponges. It’s like wiping the slate clean.
I had to take a break this weekend so we watched Netflix Thursday night and all day Friday. We finished another show and drank wine and I didn’t work or clean the house. And I napped on and off Friday. I felt refreshed and somewhat ready to tackle my week.
We finished Bloodline on Netflix Sunday and I’m ready for season 2! I have never watched Friday Night Lights (for shame!) but Kyle Chandler is THE babe of all babes. Once you move past his adorable smile (GOOD LUCK) the show is so, so good. It will draw you in and the intrigue and suspense will get the best of you until you’ve watched all 13 episodes in one sitting.
Walking is my favorite exercise but I’ve spent the past few months doing HIIT and weights instead. I was able to take in the sights and sunshine last weekend and it was the most beautiful day.
|I think this cloud looks a little like Kentucky!|
Bath and Body Works Candles
Bath and Body Works candles are normally $22.50 but were on sale for $10 over the holiday weekend. I only buy them when they’re on sale and have a cabinet stocked with my hoarded treasures. If your electricity goes out… let my candlelight lead the way.
We’re leaving for Hilton Head in less than three weeks! It’s my favorite week of the year and I cannot wait to spend it with family. I hope the island is ready for all 9 of us!
I’m experiencing some technical difficulties with the linkup tool, so head over to Anne’s blog to join the fun!
What’s awesome in your life this week?
