Thanks for all of the love this week, per usual. You guys rock.
Today I’m sharing a bit of a vacation recap, nothing exhaustive, I promise.
I am beyond grateful that my family and I have the means to take off work and enjoy a beautiful vacation together. We are blessed beyond measure.
You probably saw my angry tweets Friday night and Saturday morning, but it was the most infuriating experience of my life. We were all in tears by Saturday morning- stuck in Hilton Head without a way home and had to be out of the beach house by 10:00. Enterprise claimed it wasn’t their problem (complete bullshit) but promised us a new car would be delivered at 2:00 am. My parents waited up (even though we were leaving early the next morning) and, guess what? They towed the van but didn’t drop off a car. Saturday morning my parents, J, and I hightailed it to Enterprise to secure a vehicle/seek help and the manager was AWFUL. He was so rude that I snapped. We finally acquired a vehicle (after being treated like garbage), putting us on the road hours behind schedule, and forcing my sweet sister and sweet niece to squeeze in the back of our small car all the way to Kentucky. Our normal 9 hour drive took nearly 13 hours due to multiple backups and my poor niece getting carsick for the first time. She was SUCH a good baby and her Aunt Z is so proud of her for rolling with the punches! I’m so grateful for J and my sister for keeping good attitudes and making this high-strung gal laugh along the way.
Here are some happy pictures!
