Happy Monday! I’m off work for the holiday and enjoying a relaxing day of DIY and laundry. Good day at the office!
Earlier this summer I was contacted by The Bluegrass Box, a local monthly subscription company, who asked if they could send me a package of Kentucky-made goodies. Twist my arm! The company is just getting off the ground, but after spending some time getting to know the individuals behind the business, I was sold. They’re seriously the sweetest people who have a true passion for Kentucky and the amazing products manufactured here, and I’m thrilled to support them and their venture.
How does it work? The Bluegrass Box is a monthly subscription box specializing in Kentucky-curated products. Each product is full-size and comes beautifully packaged; no samples here! They offer several subscription types: monthly, three month prepaid, and six month prepaid. Each month has a theme; for example, September’s box theme is “Apple Harvest”. The month-to-month price is $35.95, and a portion of that goes to a local charity. It’s a win-win!
You know I’m a sucker for all things Kentucky and love supporting local businesses. I’m constantly blown away by the products and companies based here that I have no knowledge of- we have some immensely talented people in this state!
The Bluegrass Box is a great way to familiarize yourself with local companies and support Kentucky. I personally would like the box for myself, but know it would make a wonderful gift! Have a friend or family member who has moved out of state and feels homesick? What a great treat this would be!
August’s box featured some fantastic local products, including soap, coffee, jam, and bourbon barbecue sauce, which we’ve already used several times! Not only have the products been useful (and delicious), but I’ve discovered four new brands I never knew existed. The Made by Mavis brand sells a bourbon maple syrup which you KNOW I have to get my hands on!
Thank you, Bluegrass Box, for sending these delicious goodies! Have you ever tried a state product box?
*This product was sent to me for free in exchange for a review. However, the opinions are my own and I truly loved the service and think the owners are fantastic.
