Popping in quick today. How was your St. Patrick’s Day? We celebrated last weekend so we made dinner and watched basketball the rest of the night. This week was definitely better than last, though it was so busy! I had over 20 hours worth of meetings at work this week… I feel behind on everything. I need to finish my design plus a million other things. I’m looking forward to a weekend spent at home, catching up, and watching basketball!
*I’m currently up late watching the UK game and HOPE we can make it past the first round!
I am itching to move, and when the desire is really strong, I start redecorating our house. We don’t want to do a lot of cosmetic things since we want to rent it out, but I love making small changes. I had promised myself I wouldn’t buy anything for the house until we moved, but, I bought a new duvet from Pottery Barn. I love our West Elm bedding (on super sale right now!) but, spoiler, white duvets get dingy quick! Our new bedding is SO. WRINKLED. I washed and dried exactly as instructed and cannot get it to straighten. I’m pretty disappointed. Any ideas?
I wish this were my photo. Picture this- only crinkled like a wad of paper. Photo source here.
We finished House of Cards Wednesday night. How sad! I loved the season, but can’t decide how I felt about the last episode. We didn’t even realize it was over until Netflix tried to start another show! What were your thoughts? And now we need another show to binge-watch… any suggestions?
This time change has totally screwed up my sleep schedule this week. I cannot get settled down at night (in spite of my Benadryl consumption) and am struggling to get out of bed in the morning. Thursday I could NOT get up at 5:00 and work out. I was exhausted. Anyone else struggle this week?
I struggle with what to eat for lunch but have stuck to shredded chicken with sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts lately. Unfortunately I was out of chicken when I began meal prep Sunday so I decided to try a variation of a recipe I’d pinned a few weeks ago: Sweet Potato Tacos. I was also out of avocado, so I left it and the sauce out. Basically I had sweet potato, black bean, and feta tacos. And it was delicious. If you’re in a food rut, I suggest giving these a try!
I bought two concealers recently – one expensive – and continue to go back to my Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Treatment Concealer. I know this does not work for everyone, but I continue to be impressed with the quality and prefer it to my Laura Mercier product. If you’re in the market for a new concealer, you can’t go wrong with this under $10 staple. Do you have a favorite?
Have a wonderful weekend!
