Thank you for joining Emelia and I for Beauty on a Budget!
Today we’re discussing budget eye products: eye primer, eye shadow, and eye liner. All of my favorites!
NYX Cosmetics Vinyl Liquid Liner: I used Stila’s liner for awhile, but it’s hard to compete with this $7 product. Its staying power is unrivaled: I’ve never had an eyeliner that didn’t smudge, but this works every time! I have used a few NYX liner products and have always been satisfied.
It’s no secret that I love my Urban Decay shadows, but there are some fabulous drugstore buys:
L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte: this is a creamy, velvety, easy to apply shadow. The color can be a bit intense, but is super pretty and lasts all day. Also, some claim this is a dupe to Stila’s Kitten shadow. I can’t attest to that, but it is over half the price. Hard to beat!
L’Oreal Colour Riche Monos Eye Shadow in Pain Au Chocolat: this is a perfect crease shade, providing rich, smooth color.
CoverGirl Eye Shadow in Tapestry Taupe: I have used this same shadow (and shade) since I was in high school. It’s another go-to crease color for me.
e.l.f. Eye Shadow Primer: I once did a guest post for a blogger and called this a dupe for Urban Decay’s eye primer potion– it was as if I personally insulted all of their mothers. This product is $3 and it’s pretty good. Is it as great as Urban Decay’s product? Maybe not. But you can’t beat the price.
