Linking up with Biana for Weekending!
We had a relaxed, fun weekend with my family. I woke up early Friday, did some laundry, and packed both of our bags for the trip. It was really cool and I was not in the mood to shop so J dropped me off at Kohl’s to look for an Easter dress. No such luck. He had to run some errands so I walked over to Ulta and TJMaxx. I bought a few new lipsticks in Ulta and found a simple navy, quilted dress at TJ’s.
NYX Liquid Suede in Pink Lust.
My siblings and I always buy my parents an Easter treat. I love Easter baskets!
My dad and J put some food on the smoker while my mom, sister, and I went shopping. We ended the night with good food and a few cold drinks! 😉
Saturday my parents, sister, and niece had to attend a birthday party, but my brother, J, and I decided to stay home. We went to lunch, ran some errands, and I did some laundry and cleaning for my mom. It’s hard to have a full house! It was a gorgeous day, and we had a mini Easter egg hunt for my niece. We started a fire, ordered pizza, and played. It was the perfect day.
Sunday we attended my family’s church. It was a beautiful service! After church, my mom and grandmother made the most delicious lunch! Nothing beats their cooking. I cannot compete! We went to my grandparents after lunch for an Easter egg hunt with all of our cousins. My niece had a blast, and I loved watching all of the babies search for eggs!
The tradition in our family is to play “baseball” with the hard-boiled Easter eggs. I was still dressed in my Sunday best and didn’t participate, but it’s interesting to watch!
We unfortunately left around 2:30 to come home. I still had to meal prep and do a few loads of laundry. Isn’t being an adult great?! We ate too much, drank too much, and had a blast all weekend. I’m so grateful for such an amazing family. It’s difficult to live away from them, and I’m thankful for every minute we spend together.
