Hello, friends, and cheers to Friday!
I feel so behind this week. We’ve stayed in a hotel most of the week and work has been even crazier than normal. It all hits at once, right? I haven’t even wanted to turn on my computer because it produces so much heat! We’re finally home and keeping our fingers crossed that they got the repairs right this time – I think we’re both about to lose our minds.
I feel like a jerk complaining so much, but it’s been a miserable couple of weeks. Thank you guys for humoring me. Here’s hoping we’re seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
It wasn’t all bad, I suppose.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam: I packed this back and forth from the hotel because it contains shades I use for bronzer, blush, and highlight. I don’t normally wear it for every day, but it was much easier to carry. And I received so many compliments at work! It’s honestly one of my favorite products of all time. It definitely made my tired skin glow! I wish I could cover my entire body with it. That Crushed Pearl is everything.
The Olympics: I didn’t think I’d watch, but, I couldn’t turn off gymnastics and swimming. And volleyball. It’s amazing. And I have so many questions: what highlighter do the gymnasts use? How can I get Kerri Walsh Jennings’ behind? Such a highlight for this long week!
Fall: I got my last #NSale item – a pair of booties! I wanted summer to hang on forever, but after this week, I’m anxious for the temperatures to cool down. Now if only all of my clothes will fit after the junk I’ve eaten lately…
Kindness: all the people in our life have been incredibly gracious the past few weeks. We went to dinner with friends Wednesday, and our friend’s mom offered her home to us. Friends and coworkers and family have pleaded with us to stay with them, and a coworker treated me to lunch and a bitch-sesh. Even though this hasn’t been a huge deal, I’m grateful for all of the wonderful people in our lives. And thank you all for reading and the sweet comments! Thanks for listening to me whine.
The hotel bar: I won’t lie, the hotel bar was our saving grace. Through all of our stress we actually had fun and were able to unwind a bit. While we’ve spent tons of money and eaten junk, we still had a little fun. We even shared a few laughs. And, best of all, we didn’t kill one another. 🙂 That’s a win in my book.
Looking forward to a weekend spent in our (hopefully) cold home!
I’m behind – so how was your week? I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
