Is it too early for us to discuss fall lipsticks? After Labor Day I put away all of my whites, bright sandals, and pink lipsticks. Like many of you, fall is my favorite season and it always goes by too quickly! Summer seems to go on forever in the south. In fact, it’s 90 degrees today! I’m done.
Lipstick posts are my favorites to write because I love experimenting with color. Today I’m sharing a few new shades and some of my old favorites!
NYX Liquid Suede in Cherry Skies: a lot of people give this product bad reviews, but it’s my favorite lipstick ever. It lasts all day and I’ve never been complimented on a color so much! I’ve actually bought it for a couple of people who asked me about it frequently.
NYX in Siren: a bold choice, even for me! I can’t wait to see what it looks like on lips.
NYX Simply Red Lip Cream in Leading Lady: this product is hard to find in store, but it’s another go-to.
Urban Decay Vice Lipstick in Rock Steady: if you’re like me, you did not love the old UD lipsticks. But things have changed. I definitely prefer this formula. Rock Steady is a cream formulation, and has a bit of a sheen to it and makes my lips look like I’ve been drinking Merlot (maybe I have…).
Chanel Rouge Allure Luminous Intense Lip Colour in Pirate: I don’t often purchase high-end lipstick, but I used my Nordstrom note to pick up this beauty. I’d read that this shade was the perfect red for fair-skinned ladies and had to give it a try! I feel like finding the perfect red is like searching for the perfect LBD – but it’s a journey I’m willing to take.
MAC Russian Red: old faithful. Wore this last fall and winter and even gifted my sister with the shade for her wedding. It’s universally flattering: it looks great on this fair-skinned blonde, and looked equally fabulous on my olive-skinned brunette sister.
There are other shades I want to try this year, but the season is just underway! What are your go-to fall shades?
