We made it to Friday and survived our first week back to reality. Cheers!
Today I’m sharing a fun collaboration with Jasmine from Jasmine Maria. Jasmine is more of a makeup artist (as you can tell by her amazing application skills and selfies), while I’m more of your average makeup lover. I love that we’re sharing the two perspectives.
I have been on a bit of a high-end makeup kick lately, but there are a few drugstore items I swear by. For this challenge, we were tasked with creating a drugstore product only look. I did fine, aside from primer. I cannot find a drugstore primer I like! If you have suggestions, let me know!
Since it was back to work for me this week, I had to keep it a bit toned-down in the makeup department. Here’s what I used:
Essense Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel. Guys. This product is $2.99! My eyebrows are super sparse but I’m trying to grow them out right now… thank you, years of waxing and over-plucking. Don’t do it, kids. This product does a great job of making them appear fuller and thicker.
L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Iced Latte : A great dupe for Stila’s Kitten eye shadow. I wore this a lot during the holidays – it’s such a gorgeous champagne shade!
NYX Cosmetics Matte Liquid Liner: I swear by this! I’ve used expensive eyeliners but always come back to this product. It’s a staple in my makeup bag.
L’Oreal Voluminous Feline Noir Mascara: I will often wear a couple of mascaras at a time, but not when I wear this product. It covers all the bases!
L’Oreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation: Perfect for this time of year as it leaves your dull skin glowing!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer: I’ve used this under-eye concealer for years. Why pay more when this is one of the best products on the market?
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer: You’ve probably seen this everywhere lately, and for good reason – it’s amazing! I love using it to add a little color to my fair skin. Plus, it smells like coconut! It will transport you right to the beach.
NYX Cosmetics Ombre Blush in Sweet Spring: Love this bright pop of pink!
Makeup Revolution Golden Sugar 2 Rose Gold Professional Blush Palette: I’m not sure if Makeup Revolution can be found in drugstores, but it can be found at Ulta for low prices. I used shades in this palette to create a highlight – you can mix several colors to find the perfect option for you! And at $10, it can’t be beat!
NYX Cosmetics Simply Red Lip Cream in Leading Lady: One of my go-to reds, and a shade I always get asked about: in fact, a couple of women I work with bought the same color after asking what I was wearing!
NYX Cosmetics Slim Lip Pencil in Plush Red: I swear by NYX’s liners – they’re wonderful, especially considering they’re only $3.50!
That’s it! An entire face (minus primer) that can be found at the drugstore. Not too bad, right? Have you tried any of these product? What are your drugstore favorites?
