I’ve taken a bit of a break this week. Sometimes you just can’t hang. Nothing special over here – our internet has been really slow this week and it hasn’t been worth it to work once I get off work. We had awful storms Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, but the weather has been beautiful since. Today I’m co-hosting a baby shower for a co-worker and his wife and we’re getting a new roof. Life continues to be exciting.
Sheryl suggested I listen to this week’s The Other F Word podcast featuring the creators of Too Faced Cosmetics. It was wonderful and the dose of inspiration I needed. Check it out – you won’t regret it!
I started BBG this week and the guides are NO. JOKE. Last weekend I tested it out and accidentally did the beginner’s guide. It was too easy and I was concerned it would do nothing for me. Once I realized what I’d done and started doing it correctly, it laughed in my face. Thankfully it’s only three days a week because I am feeling it! At least I know I’m getting a good work out.
Um, I bought seven pairs of shoes at Target this week. As I’ve mentioned, I keep stuff for years, and 90% of my spring and summer shoes are trashed. I finally got my hands on these cute sandals that had been sold out forever! Now I just need some spring nail polish!
I took advantage of an Ulta 20% off prestige brands coupon last week and picked up a couple of things from one of my favorite brands, ItCosmetics. I purchased their CC Full Coverage Concealer cream and am obsessed! I love that it’s easy to blend and doesn’t crease. I might share a haul post next week.
St. Patrick’s Day is a big deal in our house because it’s our anniversary… of course it is. We don’t have plans yet but usually go to Louisville for the parade, watch the SEC or NCAA tournament, and stay with friends for the weekend. I always get a festive shirt because I’m classy like that, and this year was no exception:
That’s it! Looking forward to another weekend of cleaning and organizing the house and being woken up too early on Saturday by the roofers. Isn’t life as a working adult exciting? What are your plans?
