Happy Monday! Doesn’t it feel like we’re always here?
Mondays need more light posts, right? Thought I’d share some of the makeup and beauty products I’ve bought lately. I’ve tried to curb my spending, but I’ll always be a product junkie! I am definitely overshadowed by other beauty bloggers lately and have focused more on lifestyle and opinion posts, but it will always be my number one love!

Ulta is such a dangerous place for me. You cannot beat their rewards program, especially since you often get 20% off prestige brands!
NARS Smooth and Protect Primer: I’m not sure I’ll ever find the perfect primer and I feel like I’ve tried hundreds (I’ve tried 20). But this is probably my favorite – at least right now. 🙂
It Cosmetics Confidence in a Compact: this solid serum foundation with SPF 50 is a great addition to my makeup bag. It provides medium coverage, applies easily, and includes anti-aging benefits. This is the perfect product for when you’re in a rush and don’t want to deal with foundation, but still want coverage. It’s not full-coverage like it claims, but it’s worked well on my dry skin and has been a blessing throughout our recent travels.
It Cosmetics Eye Color Correcting Full Coverage Cream Concealer: Again, I would not call this full-coverage, but it still works great. It’s easily-blendable and adds a little shimmer that helps counteract under-eye darkness. I also love the cool applicator – it feels great on tired, puffy eyes!
L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara: This plus the L’Oreal primer is my go-to combination. Wow. It’s far surpassed any other mascara I’ve ever used.
CoverGirl Nudes TruNaked Eye Shadow Palette in Nudes: I do not splurge on eye shadow palettes because there are too many shades this fair-skinned gal can’t pull off. There are a couple of colors in this palette that are too dark for me, but I still love it! It’s perfect for everyday wear, and, with my favorite Urban Decay Eye Shadow primer, the products lasts all day.
NYX Cosmetics #NoFilter Finishing Powder: Loving this powder! It’s not too heavy and doesn’t settle into fine lines. It gives you a soft look without being cakey.
NYX Cosmetics Velvet Matte Lipstick in Miami Nights: Obsessed with all of NYX’s matte lipsticks, and can’t wait to rock this bright pink all summer!
No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Oil: I use this almost every night and use it with my Foreo a couple of nights a week. It cleans off all of my makeup, doesn’t clog my pores, and has helped hydrate my skin. I haven’t been using it on my eyes so I can’t vouch for its effectiveness at removing waterproof makeup, but my skin does feel and look clean after. It is messier than Clinique’s Take the Day Off cleansing balm.
No7 Micellar Cleansing Water: I pour some of this product on a cotton ball and swipe it over my face after using cleansing oil. It gets the remaining makeup I missed and isn’t drying. Again, I don’t use this on my eyes because they’re super sensitive. But it’s gentle and has a really nice smell.
OPI Fiji Nail Lacquer in Getting Nadi on my Honeymoon (hibiscus pink) and Suzi Without a Paddle (cool blue): I’ve worn hundreds of nail polish shades over the years, and I’ve NEVER received more compliments than I have on these two colors. They are perfect for spring, especially Easter! I will be wearing these all spring and summer.
Waiting for the VIB Sale to purchase more…
Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Camouflage Concealer: I know everyone loves the Tape Shape concealer, and I do, too, but this is easier to blend for me – especially this time of year when my skin is so dry. A little goes a long way with this product!
Urban Decay Naked Skin Highlighting Fluid in Luminous: I bought this to highlight my brow bone. It’s pretty, but not life-changing. Also, I own approximately 90837048 highlighters.
Can’t beat the fast and free shipping from Nordstrom!
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Secret Salma: This is a pretty pink shade. It’s not too bold – almost a neutral. Honestly, though? I’m not super impressed. It doesn’t last as long as other, cheaper brands.
MAC Nude Lipstick in Creme D’Nude: I wanted to try a nude lipstick without breaking the bank, and this fits the bill perfectly. It’s the “perfect nude” and I love the creamy finish. I like to wear MAC lipglass over it, which has been a staple in my makeup bag since middle school.
My office is across the street from Walgreens and I end up there a couple of times a month. I go in for Benadryl and come out with makeup!
Almay Smart Shade Powder Blush in Coral: The pretty stars sold me on this blush, but it works great, too! I’m drawn to corals in spring and summer as they really work with my skin tone, and this has just a hint of shimmer. A great buy!
Wet n Wild MegaGlo Makeup Stick in Peach Bum: Wet n Wild is such an underrated makeup brand, and it’s so cheap! I wear this coral product as a blush – it would look great on ladies with darker skin. I know it will be in high rotation this summer!
