Can you believe it’s already April? This year is flying by, as they all do!
We spent a lot of time relaxing this weekend after traveling so much this year. I organized the house a bit and did a little blog upgrade! Hope you like it and that it’s easier to navigate now. Thankful for my new computer – I’d wanted to update my site for months but couldn’t force myself to get it done. This computer makes everything easier!
I love transitioning from winter to fall. I’ve thrown out all of my tights, traded my boots for open-toed sandals, and added bright pink lipsticks to my repertoire. Here are some other things to add to your spring makeup and beauty routine:
SPF: You need it all the time, but especially now since you’ll be spending more time outdoors. Look for products that include it, like It Cosmetics CC Cream – one of my faves!
Bronzer: I wear bronzer year-round because I don’t tan my face. It adds just the slightest color to your skin!
Physician’s Formula Butter Bronzer – under $15!
Lighter moisturizer: Set aside the heavy creams until the end of the year. You still need to moisturize, but don’t need quite as much as you did during the dry winter months. I’m currently loving Clinique’s Moisture Surge – it works great under makeup! Other options:
Lighten Up: Pick yourself up a springy eyeshadow palette. I have my eye on this gorgeous Too Faced Natural Love palette, but there are cheaper options as well, like the Roses TruNaked Palette from CoverGirl!
Bright Lipstick: Out with the vampy. Girl About Town from MAC is one of my most-worn springy shades. NYX has many great pinks as well, including this super hot Miami Nights! PS: NYX lipsticks are buy one, get one 50% off right now! Such a great deal on inexpensive products.
Highlight: I highlight year-round, but, it looks even better now! It’s the best way to fake a glow if you’re not lucky enough to be on Spring Break. 🙂
Prep your body: We’re no longer hiding behind pants and tights – time to show your skin some love! I am obsessed with this St. Ives Even and Bright Pink Lemon and Mandarin Orange body wash and scrub. It smells wonderful and gently exfoliates to give you the smoothest skin!
Are you in the spring mood yet? What are your favorite ways to transition to a new season?
