Happy Friday! I swear this has been the longest week ever…
Thanks for all the birthday wishes! We went out to dinner last weekend with my family but had a low-key birthday celebration at home on Tuesday. We grilled scallops and steak (for J!) and ate a bourbon chocolate chip muffin instead of cake. He bought us tickets to a concert in September – that will definitely extend the celebration!
The Target sandal obsession continues! I finally picked up this pair of bow sandals. I really want the striped pair, too, but I couldn’t pass up the pink!
I started watching a new (to me) show this week: Catastrophe on Amazon. It’s slightly vulgar but hilarious (with a hint of realness). I flew through the first two seasons. Speaking of tv, I JUST found out that Netflix is releasing a new Anne of Green Gables series next week! It was my favorite series growing up and I cannot wait to watch. And Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt starts back up on May 19th. Plus I need to get caught up on The Handmaid’s Tale. What a time to be alive.
I began the “Convicted” podcast last week. There’s only been one episode so far but I’m hooked. If you listened to the first season of Serial you’ll recognize many of the names. It lacks the fancy editing of NPR, but I know it will be a new obsession. Can’t wait for the next episode!
I’ve been taking this Super Cortisol Support from Amazon for a few weeks and I have had so much more energy, even through being sick and not sleeping well. Again, it might be placebo effect, but… I’ve also lost 6 pounds. I need all the help I can get.
We’re not doing any Derby-related activities this year. The weather in Kentucky has been uncharacteristically gross, and it’s supposed to be in the 50s with rain on Derby day. However, we are attending a party for my grandparents’ 60th wedding anniversary. Isn’t that wonderful?
What are your plans? Have a great weekend!
