TGIF! All weekends are great, but summer weekends are even sweeter. We’ll be poolside again Saturday while celebrating my amazing dad!
This week has been something of a whirlwind. I took on a new position at my current job and have been traveling a bit while still doing the tech writing thing – trying to keep my head above water!
Old Navy is my favorite place for budget-friendly clothing and accessories (aside from Target I guess!). When people ask where I buy my clothes, I tell them that 90% come from a combination of Old Navy and Target, with about 10% from Nordstrom. I’m cheap. Here are my favorite Old Navy pieces for summer:
Peplum tops: I pray these never go out of style! I think I have six(?) of these tops. They look great with skirts and under blazers. They’d even look cute with jeans for date night! And they’re always on sale and under $10! Hard to believe!
Swing dresses: Another item I’ve bought the heck out of this year. I’ve picked up five of these babies and they can be worn to work as well. They’re super comfortable and forgiving, but also flattering. Dress them up with a cardigan or fun shoes. Some of the dresses are $12 so act fast!
Palm cover-up: This is perfect to take from the beach to the bar! It’s also great quality for the price. I wore it last weekend and my mom and sister were clamoring to order one for our vacation, too!
Midi pencil skirts: Another item I own in every color. They’re dressy enough for work, but also casual enough for a night out. Also – elastic waistband.
Sandals: I have had a million compliments on the Old Navy sandals I’ve worn this season. They’re insanely comfortable and not made cheaply like many inexpensive shoes. I have put a lot of miles on them already!
Are you an Old Navy lover? What are your favorite pieces? Have a wonderful weekend!
