Happy Friday, friends. Can you believe we’re rushing through October? We are staying in this weekend and I’m so excited. There’s nothing like a couple of days at home to get stuff done! The house needs a good scrub. I live an exciting life; what can I say?
I finally found an inexpensive pair of leopard mules! I honestly never thought mules were for me – I’ve worn heels for years. But they’re so comfortable and versatile. I’ve been on the hunt for some reasonable yet comfortable leopard mules and finally found these at DSW. They’re perfect and only $30! My test of shoes is if I can wear them at work all day as I try to walk a couple of miles on breaks, and these passed with flying colors!
I woke up with hives on my neck and part of my face Monday. Great way to start the week, right? Benadryl helped but I’ve been careful what I used on my face the rest of the week. I am still loving Garnier Micellar Water. It’s great at removing all makeup, but I especially love it for eye makeup! I always feel like I’m tugging too hard on my eyes when I use wipes, so this has been a good substitution. And it’s still gentle on my sensitive eyes.
I posted about TopCashback yesterday and thought I’d mention it again! If you’re like me you’ll be doing the majority of your Christmas shopping online – sign up (for free!) today and earn cash back on all of your purchases. It will be nice to have a little money saved up after the holidays.
A few of you mentioned that the dress I shared on Instagram was sold out in the green. However, the mock-neck dresses are fully in stock and come in the same shade! I ordered the gray but it comes in several other colors as well! Old Navy is killing the dress game this year. I’ve lived in their summer and fall dresses – they’re simple enough to pair with sweaters and fancier shoes!
We’ve been busy the past few weeks but I finally managed to cook dinner Wednesday night. It’s not common that I’m not cooking, but life gets in the way sometimes! I made this stuffed peppers recipe but added sausage to it per J’s request. I’m not a big meat eater but this is a delicious dish! It takes a bit of time so it’s not perfect for busy weeknights, but it’s worth the hassle. I also skipped the tomatoes: made ours with sausage and brown rice only. I think next time I’ll try a healthier version with ground turkey. These work well as leftovers, too! I highly suggest boiling the peppers first – they’re much more tender that way!
How was your week? Anything fun to share? Have a great weekend!
