Cheers to Friday, everyone!
Thanks for all the love on Monday’s post. The conference went well – I’m happy that it’s finally over. I was told to take the day off today and no arm-twisting was involved. It’s been a crazy few weeks and I’m hoping to unwind(ish) as we head into the holidays. Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? I can’t! I’m so ready for all the delicious food. And I’m trying to fit in extra workouts to combat holiday weight gain. Sorry, I’m not one of those people who puts a couple of pieces of turkey on their plate and calls it a day. Give me ALL the carbs!

I love Amazon posts because I’m always surprised at the products out there I didn’t even know existed. And they continue to unveil innovative technology that will eventually enable me to never leave my house. So…
Here are a few of my favorite recent purchases:
zeroUV Thick Cat Eye Sunglasses: I have purchased around 10 pairs of sunglasses on Amazon this year, no lie! They have so many great and inexpensive options; perfect for people like me who constantly lose or break my sunnies. I am a huge fan of cat eye shapes and I love how don’t sit too heavy on my nose. I read on a blog that these are a good dupe for Celine sunglasses, but I am far too cheap to know if that’s accurate. They come in several colors and are only $11!
Cyxus Blue Light Filter Transparent Lens Glasses: Alex shared these on her IG, and I know Kerri has mentioned (similar) glasses as well. As a technical writer and blogger, I spend the majority of my day on the computer, leading to dry eyes and headaches. I also have a lot of trouble winding down at night. The glasses (you do not need a prescription!) cut down on blue light to relieve eye fatigue. I love the style of these as well – the lenses are larger than my normal glasses, but not overwhelmingly so.
OZNaturals Vitamin C Facial Serum: I’ve been using the Korres Wild Rose serum for a couple of years so I’m scraping the bottom. I’m always trying to brighten my dark spots (thanks, sun damage) and this had great reviews. I have only used it a couple of times, but I like the consistency much better than the Korres. It’s non-greasy and soaks in quickly.
Flameless Candles: This set comes with 9 candles of varying sizes and a remote to set timers and control the “flame”. Jason convinced me to buy these to replace a couple on our porch, and we used the rest around the house as Halloween décor. I think they’ll work for Christmas as well. They do have the look and feel of real candles which I love! Plus you don’t have to worry about smoke or setting the house on fire. I also picked up a 28 pack of AA batteries for them – the pack is only $13 and the quality and lasting power are top-notch.
Olivia Garden Nano Thermic Ceramic Ion Brush: Perfect for an at-home blowout! My hair tangles easily so I normally avoid these types of brushes, but I’ve yet to experience a disaster (i.e. cutting a brush out of your hair).
